The SPRONG group Hospitable Transitions unites eight research groups from NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Breda University of Applied Sciences, HZ University of Applied Sciences, and InHolland University of Applied Sciences. Their mission is to initiate, facilitate, and accelerate transitions within the hospitality domain.
This sector, comprising entrepreneurs and organizations in leisure, tourism, culture, hospitality, and recreation, not only contributes significantly to the economy but also plays a key role in societal transitions towards a sustainable, inclusive, and digital economy.
To achieve this, the SPRONG group collaborates with entrepreneurs, policymakers, and other stakeholders in four regional transition arenas. Here, they design and test solutions across the themes:
- Climate neutrality
- Inclusive prosperity
- Healthy regions
- Regenerative area development
A national transition forum supports this effort by promoting knowledge sharing and scalability, ensuring that successful practices can be widely adopted.
With this approach, the SPRONG group Hospitable Transitions takes the lead in driving the movement towards a sustainable and future-proof hospitality domain.
